Where are the sessions located?I am based in NYC, so sessions can be in parks or urban settings around the city. I also spend time on Fire Island, making its beautiful shores an ideal location. We'll discuss the exact location during our pre-consultation meeting.
-
How much time should I reserve? The length of the photoshoot varies. I start by letting your pup get acquainted with me and my camera to help them relax. I never rush the session, allowing your dog plenty of time to explore between shots.
-
What about leashes, collars, and harnesses?Safety is my top priority, so your dog will be on a leash during the session, which can be removed during post-processing. Use your pup’s regular harness or collar to get to the location and between shots. For photos, I recommend switching to a simple, non-bright collar.
-
What should I bring to the photoshoot?I bring treats, toys, and water. You can also bring your pup’s favorite toys and treats. If you'd like your dog to wear a sweater, bandana, hat, bowtie or any other props, feel free to bring those. The most important thing to bring is your patience. Pet photo shoots may take time and require a positive attitude.
-
What if my dog doesn’t know many commands and won't stay still? No problem at all. I have techniques to capture your dog's attention. We aim to capture your dog’s personality, not just perfect poses. Your pet will shine, no worries
-
What if it rains on the day of photo shoot?Flexibility is key for dog photoshoots. During our pre-consultation, we'll choose a backup "rain" date. If it rains on both days, we'll find another suitable date.
-
What is the best time of day for my session?Sessions usually take place a couple of hours before sunset for the best lighting. If that doesn't work for you, we can find another suitable time during our pre-consultation.
-
How do I prepare for the session?Grooming a couple of days before the session are recommended. For long-haired pups, trim around the eyes so they shine in the photos. Remember, the eyes are the mirror of the soul! Also, for very energetic pups I suggest a long walk before the session to help them release some energy. Since food motivation helps capture and reward your dog’s attention, it's a good idea to feed them a little less on the day of the session. Your dog will receive plenty of treats during the shoot!

How do I book a session? Please email me or use the CONTACT ME form to send a message. A 50% deposit of the session fee is required to secure your chosen time and date.
-
How do we get the photos?Within a few days days after your session, you'll receive a link to an online gallery to choose the images you'd like edited. About a week later, you'll get a PIN to download the high-resolution files for printing or sharing on social media.
-
What is a cancellation policy?Life happens, and if you need to reschedule, your deposit will be applied to a new session date. In the unfortunate event that your pet comes down with a long-term illness, 100% of your deposit will be refunded.
-
How does the payment work? After booking your session, you'll receive a confirmation email with my Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle details for payment. A 50% deposit is required to secure your chosen time and date. The remaining balance can be paid on the day of the session.
